CEREC® One-Visit Crowns
This state-of-the-art technology allows us to create and place crowns, inlays and onlays in only one visit, so you spend less time at the dental office. Even better, the CEREC system eliminates the need for uncomfortable plastic temporaries while your restorations are sent off to a lab, a process that can take weeks and require a series of dental appointments. With CEREC, you can get the dental treatment you need, then get back to your busy life and the things that matter most.

Diagnodent®
Diagnodent® is a gentle and comfortable tool used for detecting early tooth decay that is not yet visible and would otherwise go undiagnosed by regular methods alone. Leading dental experts agree that traditional methods of detecting tooth decay are inadequate and outdated for modern dentistry. That’s why at Premier Family Dental we are proud to utilize this important technology!
Diagnodent works by scanning your teeth to measure fluorescence within your tooth structure. Healthy teeth will have little or no fluorescence, but those teeth that are showing signs of decay will be quite evident in the level of fluorescence they display. The data passed into the device will not only shine when there are signs of tooth decay, but will also give an audible signal to alert the dentist. With that data, Dr. Khalil will then be able to treat the affected area before it can develop into something more problematic and ultimately, more expensive. -
Digital X-rays
- Small areas of decay between teeth or below existing restorations
- Deep cavities
- Infections in the jaw bones
- Deep gum disease
- Abscesses or cysts
- Developmental abnormalities
- Some types of tumors
Digital x-rays are a fast and comfortable tool we use to assess your dental needs. They’re safe enough to be used during pregnancy, and some studies have found that they emit up to 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays. With no chemical processing needed, digital x-rays are a good choice for you and the environment.
X-rays are commonly used in dental exams of patients of all ages, because many problems with the teeth and surrounding tissues cannot be seen by the naked eye. An x-ray is needed to reveal:
-
Intraoral Camera
Like digital x-rays, digital photographs with our intraoral camera are a useful diagnostic and patient education tool. Through the use of a tiny camera attached to a hand-held wand we can show you incredibly clear pictures of your teeth and gums. These pictures not only enable us to identify problem areas like a cracked tooth or a broken filling, but we can visually guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. You also get a much clearer picture of your teeth than what a hand held mirror can show you. The intraoral camera provides you with the opportunity to be a partner with us in keeping your mouth and smile healthy and strong!
-
Isolite®
Our patients are enjoying more comfort and better care than ever with our Isolite® system! This system has a place to rest your jaw, a soft and flexible mouthpiece to better shield and protect your tongue and cheek, and high quality illumination of your mouth, which reduces shadowing and makes treatment even more accurate. Added benefits include new technologies that eliminate the need for cotton rolls and rinse breaks. Just another way we hope to make your visit with us a comfortable and relaxing experience!
-
IV Sedation
Intravenous conscious sedation provides a deep state of relaxation—deeper than most other forms of sedation dentistry—without requiring you to be completely asleep. Though you will feel significantly calm and relaxed, you will still be awake, aware of your surroundings and able to communicate with our team.
-
Laser Dentistry
Leading-edge laser technology enables us to treat your dental needs with more precision and comfort than ever before! Using laser energy, we are able to perform a variety of dental services, including complex treatments involving soft tissue and gums.
Laser dentistry is not only more comfortable than traditional dentistry, but it also saves you more time. The versatility of our laser allows us to perform many complex procedures right here in our office, so gone are the days of visiting dental specialists in other parts of town! -
Oral Cancer Screening
When it comes to oral cancer, early detection is key. Regular oral cancer screenings are an effective way to discover oral cancer at an early, highly curable stage. We use the Trimira Identafi 3000 oral cancer screening device to detect lesions before they produce any pain or symptoms. Digital x-rays also aid in the detection of oral cancer. Please come in for your screening. It takes only minutes and could save your life!
-
Oral Conscious Sedation
For patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety, we offer oral conscious sedation. This involves taking a carefully-prescribed sedative shortly before your visit. By the time you arrive at our office, you will feel significantly relaxed. If necessary, we may also administer nitrous oxide before your treatment begins.
-
Professional Teeth Whitening
We offer both in-office, one-visit bleaching and take-home whitening solutions. In addition to giving you the benefit of a cleaner looking and more attractive smile, teeth whitening has also been found to provide anti-cavity benefits, stronger tooth enamel, and better overall enamel health. Tooth-Colored Composite Fillings
Because they can be adhesively held, or bonded, to teeth, tooth-colored composite fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller, more natural looking fillings than amalgam (silver) fillings. The tooth-colored material is cured with an intense light, then shaped and polished to match the rest of your tooth, rendering the final restoration virtually undetectable to the eye and very natural feeling in the mouth.
