Dr. Shahir Khalil has committed himself to excellence and leadership in dentistry as a practitioner, spokesman and industry leader. Dr. Khalil earned his dental degree from Ohio State University, after earning his undergraduate degree in biology from Kent State. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Khalil served a General Practice Residence at Miami Valley Hospital.

Dr. Khalil is committed to lifelong education and professional development through continuing education. He has completed postgraduate education in the use of modern dental materials, root canal therapy, and sedation methods including both oral and IV sedation. His committement to continuing education enables Dr. Khalil not only to offer a high level of clinical care today, but also continue to bring your family the best that modern dentistry has to offer for years to come.

As a former chairman of the Akron Dental Association Public Relations committee, Dr. Khalil has been very active in communicating the benefits of modern dentistry to communities throughout the Akron area. You may have seen him interviewed on the Wadsworth cable system's Health Matters, met him at a health fair put on by Northside Christian Church, or seen one of his articles published in the Trading Post.

He has also spoken about careers in dentistry to students at Wadsworth High School. In the future, you can look forward to hearing more from Dr. Khalil on emerging new dental technologies, keeping you informed of the best that modern dentistry has to offer. Dr. Khalil is married to Susan. They are in the process of adopting a little girl. In their spare time, they enjoy bicycling and doing volunteer work through their church or at a local homeless shelter.
